Ms. Lisa has been directing children’s theatre since 2004, and has directed over 30 shows. Camp is her favorite time of year! She has many fond memories of her teen years when she performed in Amherst Youth Bureau summer musicals. It’s a gift to be able to share her love of theatre with the next generation of actors. She’s a NYS certified teacher in elementary education prek-6th with a 7-9th English extension. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Canisius University in Elementary Education, where she acted in shows and served on the board of Little Theatre. Lisa studied abroad at Oxford University and backpacked throughout Europe when she was 19. Lisa received her Masters Degree in Applied Drama: Theatre Education from Goldsmiths (University of London, United Kingdom), in a unique program with 10 students from around the world. She learned most of her theatre games from this experience, and lots to share the diverse games with students. She wrote her thesis on how drama helps with literacy. Ms. Lisa has performed in dozens of shows locally, and was a board member for Opera-Lytes and the Opera Foundation of Buffalo. Favorite roles include Sally (You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown), Fiona (Brigadoon), and Elsie (Yeomen of the Guard). During the school year, Ms. Lisa teaches at Sweet Charlotte’s, an inclusive preschool. She also works for the special education department in the Clarence Central School District as the TIES Coordinator (Together Including Every Student). In that position, she pairs students with special needs with peers to attend activities in the community. She also works as a travel agent specializing in Disney, Universal and cruises at Off to Neverland Travel.
